La formation du 3 au 21 Décembre 2007 organisée à Lille et à Paris par l’école supérieure de Lille sur le thème : Managers Africains des sites d’information a donné l’idée aux différents participants venus de 9 pays d’Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre à mettre en place une association internationale dénommée Africa Web Managers.Africa Web Managers regroupe les pays suivants : Bénin, Burkina, Centrafrique (RCA), Congo (RDC), Mali, Niger, Sénégal, Tchad et Togo.
L’idée affichée par cette association est de parvenir à construire un réseau d’échanges d’expériences en matière de management des sites web d’information, en matière d’animation éditoriale d’une rédaction web et de développement d’un projet à mettre en œuvre pendant 2008.
Cette formation a permis aussi d’accélérer le processus de formalisation et de rédaction de l’agenda de l’association.
